The Puerto Rico Institute Of Robotics (PRIOR), was created by an alliance between the Polytechnic University of P.R (PUPR)., NASA , P.R. Department of Education (DE), P.R. Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO), and the industry.  Some of the support provided by the alliance is the following:

·         The PUPR provides facilities, partial student support and other misc.

o        The Center of Excellence in Industrial Controls (CEIC), is located at the PUPR. It was created with the support from PRIDCO with the idea to establish a center where engineers as well as students work together to apply state-of-the-art technology to solve problems in the industrial sector.

·         NASA provides consulting, scientist for conferences/video conference, documentation for the students, internships for work experience.

·         The government of Puerto Rico has various agencies involve:

o        PRIDCO provides consulting support, and funding.

o        The DE provides facilities at CACTE in Guaynabo city, such as classroom and computers.

o        The local city government sponsor students, and provide facilities for competition

·         The industry sector is represented by exemplary companies committed to improve the education in Puerto Rico.  The companies sponsor teams and identify individuals that donate their time to support activities.
